It's pretty sad that he has invested a significant amount of his inheritance into a house that has already cost him a bundle in repairs, that he is now spending and additional $123,000 for a new roof when he could likely get a nice steel roof for well under $20,000, and he keeps talking about the rental income, a measly $5000 per month. The poor dumb bastard doesn't realize how much it is costing him to provide cheap housing to students. |

I'm sure you meant $500 a month not $5000 from his renters. I really do hope he's busy working. Jill |

Dave Smith <adavid.smith@sympatico.ca>: Jul 06 05:49PM -0400 If it on the internet it has to be true. If it is one FaceBook it definitely has to be true. This afternoon I was scanning through FB and came across a post shared by a friend. It had a photo of a ginormous throng of people on a beach, probably over 100,000 people and all very close together, no social distancing at all and captioned with: People will never listen! Covid is never going away! This is the beach today in Raleigh, North Carolina Share this! I am embarrassed for my friend that he shared it. I am not an expert on American geography, but I was pretty sure there is no beach in Raleigh NC. I really didn't need to Google it, but I did, and I saw that it is even further from the ocean that I had thought. Apparently, it is 131 miles from Raleigh NC to the closest beach. The really sad thing is that self righteous dinks who are disparaging the people of North Carolina as a bunch of careless jerks who are blind to the danger of the pandemic and they are too fucking stupid not to spot the obvious fallacy of the image. |

These days, mahimahi is getting expensive and weird looking. Soon there will be none left. I'm cooking it this way because my family is on a fat restricted diet. Mostly, they're eating low calorie, high protein, drinks and bars. They have to eat a low fat dish with a salad once a day. If I had my way, I'd fry the fish. Cod in a beer batter would be wonderful but that's not allowed - at least for now. Today I was collecting some hibiscus flowers. My daughter has a new tortoise and they eat these flowers. Can you imagine that? Not really:) I have never been lucky enough to have a tortoise:) If I had, I would feed them whatever they preferred:))) https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/3l0FmIkVQMWhNeMTo-A2Fw.9t8cn0qwPwv-oQ-RKWMC-i Beautiful:))) |

I was just reading to myself... yeah, Graham said tarte flambée alsacienne (Elsässer Flammkuchen) which is what you'd hear up in the alps. I don't know, it's similar to Sauerrahm-Zwiebel-Fladen which means something like a pita with sour cream and onions. |
