On average, 2 hours tops unless it's something elaborate.

Why does it matter to you how much time I spend in the kitchen?
You didn't even say how much time YOU spend in the kitchen.

2 hours seems quite elaborate to me.

That is a question for which I have no set answer. Different day,
different amount of time.

That's total for the WHOLE day including cleaning.

Why not, most of the cooks press hamburger patties that way.

Warm tropical fruit is a very weird thing (to me).

John's "patient" isn't a bedridden Grandpa. It's the grandson. He's
allegedly going to be a pediatric nurse again.

I hope that fantasy nurse of yours when you're bedridden doesn't wind up
being a 60 year old woman wearing red lipstick. ;)

Oh my!!!! That looks absolutely lip-smacking!! Are you gonna eat ALL
that by yourself?? You didn't invite me??

But dinner here will be Hoppin' John/spicy black-eyed peas and cornbread.
I'm not sure my "Hoppin' John" is entirely authentic but it is good.

No, I'd be tired - not wobbly.  Hopefully you are only shaving your face.

Full time at $35 per hour?  $70K per year?  Nice!

It's about 50% higher than that.  Who knew it would be a great
investment at $400 just 20 years ago?

Good catch.  I spent the evening installing a new ceiling fan.  No
pictures - I'm not John and I've installed probably a dozen ceiling fans
in my life.  I had to pull an additional wire through the conduit for
the new fan/light switch combo.  Good thing I had some wire lube left
over from pulling my new LED pool light wires.

Like John, I try to take Sundays off and go to the range, go fishing,
etc.  Unlike John, I work 50 hours per week and commute about five
additional hours per week so it really is a break from work.  The
benefits of owning your own company, right?

Man, I used to stock the book that had a shot from that movie. Every week
that the book was not discontinued made me happy. The cover photo was
entrancing. Talk about an ideal of female attractiveness. It really pushed
my buttons.

I use a fair amount of cabbage so cabbage root part will be in most of
mine. Same mostly on potatoes, eat with skin on.

The NY Post is a moderate right news source. This obviously did happen.
These folks were despicable. Most Republicans even feel that way. I'm
glad to see the Republican brand tainted, but not like that. One of the
villains in this whole thing is the junior Senator from Missouri, Josh
Hawley. He defeated one of the most centrist Democrats, Claire McCaskill,
two years ago. Claire was/is brilliant, and could work across the aisle. If
she runs in the Democratic primary to unseat Hawley in 2024, I will knock
doors for her. Our senior Senator has an awful voting record, but he didn't
participate in the nonsense that precipitated the insurrection. He'll be
reelected easily, but Hawley is a shitstain.
