Have you tried any of the dairy milks that are lactose free? Sometime last year I bought some, not because of lactose issues but because I was out of milk and it was the only milk left in the dairy case at the nearby store. It was (IIRC) 2% milk and tasted exactly like... milk. :) The bonus is it doesn't spoil nearly as fast because of the pasturization process. I have nothing against almond milk, soy milk or oat milk. I know some people just plain don't like milk or have issues with lactose. If you like it, great. But, to be clear, what you're using is not "milk". ;) Jill |

We were over there one day and he said, "Check this out." He opened a beer and poured it into a bowl. Set it down and called the dog by name followed by BEER. Ex: "HEY ROVER.....BEER!" The dog immediately ran over and drank all the beer. weird. |

When my little dog Sampson was a puppy, my [ex] husband had set a glass of Jack Daniel's & coke (UGH!) on the coffee table. I was in the kitchen; walked in to find Sampson had jumped up and was drinking it. That poor pup was sloshed out of his mind... staggering and bumping into walls, and he was a crying drunk to boot! It was purely an accident but it was a pitiful sight. I'm pretty sure he had a hangover when it wore off. It's not a good idea to give pets alcohol no matter how cute a "trick" you (the collective you, as in "take a video for Youtube!) think it is. Jill |

The dentist declined my request for something stronger than OTC meds ... all the media bullshit about "the opioid crisis in America" has them all afraid to prescribe for real issues . What a total hypocrite you are. WOW MOM Do you ever go back and read what you write? You, my friend, constantly put down everyone here that doesn't eat like you. You criticize eating meat, eating anything that's not natural or organic and might contain some chemicals that have big words that scare you. You don't eat meat because you "care about the animals." Yet you have no problem killing any animal that happens to live in the sea or the land predators. All are God's creatures, my friend. If you repect living creatures, you should respect them all, not pick and choose to suit your needs. We all know what you do and that's fine. No need to constantly criticize what others may choose to eat. It's you that I requested the Deet for but you knew that. It's the annoying 'Brucesquito'. A new species found in Australia. :-D |

What do you mean by "redskin" peanuts? Do you mean raw (aka "Spanish") peanuts that you have to roast? That's the kind I buy when I make peanut brittle. Like this: https://nuts.com/nuts/peanuts/redskin.html I can easily find jars of unsalted (and lightly salted) dry roasted peanuts. I buy them frequently to eat as a snack. Yum! Jill |

I'm not interested unless they are fresh but then again, I suppose mid-continent others may not have a choice. |

Yes, each was coated in ice. I assume that had something to do with their freeze process. I gave them a quick rinse and put them in a drainer after they defrosted (did that in a large bowl of ice water, double sealed in a zip lock that did not leak). The I dried them off well I was careful in spacing them in the pan, but I could see the liquid come out. It was milky looking.and left a coating in the saute pan. That coating "cooked on" to the pan and had to be scraped off before I could do a succeeding batch. Quien sabe? Since I can usually get nice ones at Wegman's for $14.99/lb, I'll stick with that and give up the convenience. And I am wondering whether the Kirkland supplier was the same for both your and my batches? |
