You pretty much nailed it, Joan. I really should have been more
specific there. They were smaller than usual onions. I measured
3 of them this morning and all are only about 2" diameter.

So....for the 3lbs of meat, probably about 2.5 - 3 cups of
chopped
onions. That is still way more than most people will use.
I just happen to really love onions. Any recipe I follow,
I'll always double the amount of onions.

That amount did keep the meatloaf loose but it did hold
together fine. Worked out quite well. I love the mix.

I always throw together my own cocktail sauce too. Much cheaper
to make and adjustable to specific taste. It might work but I
don't think I'd want that with meatloaf. I used to make up a
small batch for shrimp but then never used any. I like the shrimp
(with salted old bay seasoning) so good, no cocktail sauce
necessary. If you eat shrimp with cocktail sauce, you don't
taste the shrimp, only the mouthfeel of it.

We just differ, that's all. I like them side by side on the
plate. That particular dressing goes very well with spaghetti or
lasagna, etc. While eating, I'll often combine the two in one
forkfull.

> I would have a pasta course followed by a salad course but not as one.

I've never liked separate course meals.
If I eat a salad by itself, that *is* the meal, not just
an appetizer.

To have salad with any meal, I want it served at the same time
as the entree. I don't want to eat just pasta every bite.
I want to switch to some salad once in awhile.

At a steak restaurant, order steak and fries and a salad....
unless you tell them, they will serve the salad first then
bring the steak and fries after you finish. Wrong to me.
I want it all at once. I like the variety as I eat.

Never a dessert course for me either. I'll eat that as a
separate treat hours later. Not at a restaurant ever.

A significant group of the major UK politicians in Parliament have
already refused to attend the Trump State banquet. Digestive problems.
And one who May not be PM by then.

Btw, just a note on court etiquette for Americans.

When invited to a State Visit, do not reply " Okay to bring all the
kids? Oh, and make sure Nigel Farage gets an invite to dinner cos he
really really likes me, but leave out the Lord Mayor of London cos he's
brown and a Muslim."

The Queen's bod is strictly off limits. Do Not Touch, pat, hug, or walk
in front of her.

Do not vomit on the Prime Minister's lap.

The United States started as a federation of sovereign states, each with
its own laws.
Rather like the EU...

Weren't you fully supportive of the Brexit just after their
referendum?

No. I would draw a comparison to when Quebec wanted to separate from
the rest of Canada - when it was all laid out, even the most fervent
supporters were having second thoughts. Major corporations had
switched their head offices from Montreal to Toronto etc.

It was the same with the Scottish Referendum, the heart definitely
says yes but common sense says no, you can't go back. With the EU, I
gather the Leave voters were mostly older and thought the UK could
regain the 1945 spirit :( If that was the case, taught the younger
voters the importance of voting and not being apathetic.

Sometimes you have to be practical, Farage certainly is, he has made
millions by being an MEP and even now gathers in the cash from the
upper 2% - he's safe, took out German citizenship for him and his
family a couple of years ago.

Yes. it was. It was bacteria-laden as soon as it was killed. 26
days later it's even more bacteria laden.

That is a fact no matter how much you care to deny it.

That question tells me your IQ is a lot lower.

I read your method to my wife. She said to give it a shot. I saved your
post. Now I need a bigger non-stick frying pan. I may possibly have one
somewhere around here in the way-back of a cupboard. Tin foil is
easier.
Grumble. I have "fifty" years of doing it my way. Old dog...
