Last week I did do a microwaved potato then turned into lumpy mashed potato. I did top that with a juicy over-easy egg. Broke the yolk over it and it was very delicious. :) === Not something I have ever made. Do I see that you part cook your potatoes first? Mentioned it to D and he fancies it <g> |

One herb I can definitely tell that will overpower a dish is sage. That is one addition I'm very, very careful when adding. Taste, needs a smidge more sage; taste, needs a smidge more sage; taste, ok, that's plenty, add no more! |

If a recipe says 1 teaspoon, I add no more than 1/4 teaspoon. Cindy Hamilton |

Sage is an herb I don't use, don't even have any, I don't like breakfast sausage because of the sage. I use marjoram instead. I use bay leaves but I count how many I add and write it down, then I know how many to pull out before serving. Bits of broken bay leaves are added to my pickling spice. |

Exactly! :) The HVAC tech who did some routine maintenance last year told me some of the employees are testing thermostats with a voice command feature. He said one guy had to disable it because his very young kids were were using the thermostat to order things from Amazon. Jill |

I really did mean Heinz cocktail sauce, although the chili sauce works, too. :) The reason I remember it was cocktail sauce is because I mailed the recipe to my mother. My recipe stated add *half a cup* of bottled cocktail sauce to the meat mixture. She read it as "add a bottle of cocktail sauce". Oops! She called me and said the mixture was very wet. Gee, ya think? Mom never claimed to be a good cook. It was nice she tried my recipe. :) Jill |

I googled and got this: "Most milk and many dairy-based products are gluten-free, but as always, there are exceptions. Plain milk—regardless of whether it's regular, skim or even heavy cream—is gluten-free." So, they're slapping a label on milk and probably raising the price just so they can claim it's "gluten free". I sincerely doubt most people have to worry about gluten content in milk. Except for the nuts who like to jump on bandwagons. ;) Jill |
