It was not a bad experience. It was a fucking horrible experience to be
puking and retching for 5 hours. I don't mean feeling a little nauseous
and running to the bathroom to puke. I mean being stuck in there bent
over the toilet while your guts are trying hard to turn themselves
inside out. It's not something that you want to risk doing again. I went
through it with my chili dog, and seeing my wife about as sick from
mussels as I had been, I simply lost my taste for them. I had eaten
mussels before that incident, and I have sampled them a few times at
buffets, but I have not ordered them and won't bother cooking them.

Trump can't directly stop it. It's a state law, and states have a lot
of autonomy. It'll have to go through the courts.

Thanks, I didn't know that. So each state makes its own decisions?
What does he have direct power over?

Here's a list. It's fairly brief.

<https://votesmart.org/education/president#.XOVZF9gpC70>

I'm not exactly sure what "wield the executive power" means.
I'd like to think it's "make sure the Executive Branch does
stuff". The Executive Branch of the government includes
the Justice Department (FBI, prosecutors, etc.), the EPA,
Food and Drug Administration, USDA, and a whole raft of
other agencies that actually conduct the activities of
the government.

Thanks for that. Yes I can see how that works. I suppose it is the
same as our gov. really!

I thought it might be different for some reason:))

I agree. It's probably his wifey that pulls his strings.

He did answer though by posting a PETA website. Why am I not
surprised?

Fortunately I've never had a "Big Mac Attack" LOL. I never thought much
about McDonald's one way or the other. We didn't eat there when I was a
kid and I don't eat there now. The rare times Mom took us kids to a
hamburger chain it was a place called 'Burger Chef'. I think we lived
in New Jersey at the time. I have no idea what she paid for the burgers.

I'm a world class beer drinker, and I had to look growler up. If I ever
find a glass jug growler of the appropriate brand [Budweiser], I'll
post a picture of me taking a swig with the bottle crooked in my elbow.
Wait with bated breath and all that :)

Bingo, Lucretia! Men and Catholics in one hit! You could also have
said they're often American priests. That would have been a triple
whammy! :)

Whole Paycheck has tables. I think my regular grocery store
(a Walmart knockoff) has a couple. Lucky's (Whole Foods
for people without a trust fund) has a bunch and some sort
of bar where you can get beer, including growlers to go.

Very little. He is president, not King, not Dictator. He must approve
the laws made by Congress but does not make them. There is some
discretion in Executive Orders though.

States make traffic and driving laws, local taxes, state road works.

I use a hand masher too, mashed potatoes are supposed to have lumps.
With a mixer they are whipped potatoes and a few seconds too long they
become library paste. When its mashed potatoes for just the two of us
we mash our own in our plate with a fork. then we can each have as
many or as few lumps as we like. We only add a little salt, adding
herbs/gravy smothers the potato flavor. The only thing I like to add
to mashed potatoes are onions caramelized in chicken schmaltz, makes
it taste like a potato k'nish, but I no longer do chicken schmaltz,
way too many calories and my wife won't eat the onions anyway. I also
like mashed potatoes with plain yogurt. Actually it's been years
since we had mashed potatoes, we usually have baked with a roast as
the oven is on anyway, but mostly we have a potato omelet, good with
bell peppers or asparaguys added.

I don't recall the last time I made mashed. Growing up, we had them
frequently. They are a must with pot roast. I like potatoes in any
form though.

With mashed, I use plenty of butter, warm the milk, often add sour cream
or heavy cream if on hand.
I usually use a hand masher though. I tend to overdo using a mixer.

When I make my first homemade pie crust, I'll brag it all over this

lot of English biscuits by their definition. Homemade Toll House.
Y'all knew I was a fraud, but I hate exposing myself like this :) I do
make cornbread, so that's something. I've made good sopapilla too.

Jeeesuskerist what is rfc coming to. Give us your signature recipe

You sound like the kind of fake-news-poster who even eats meat AND
dairy AND gluten. I bet you haven't even got a terminal disease, mental
health diagnosis, dementia, failed marriage or sexual perversion to talk

I like it well enough. Normally I use it 2 ways:

1) not cooked, just sliced on a sandwich with mayo and lettuce.
2) potatoes, onions, cubed spam cooked in a hash meal
I like gramma's applesauce* on the side with that.

I usually buy the "25% Less Sodium" version.
*Gramma's applesauce - unsweetened applesauce (or fresh prepared
apples), chunky and sweetened with a bit of brown sugar only.
(no cinnamon)
