Thank goodness my mother moved out of her house and into a condo a few years after my father died. We got dealt with my father's stuff at that time, taking keepsakes and valuables at the time and a number of trips to the dump. Mom had enough to furnish her condo. When she died about 6 years later there was a lot less to dispose of. |

She'll never find a more affordable place than her little two-bedroom bungalow, and a nice quick death rather than ending up in a nursing home is "a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd". I'll put up with sorting through all her junk in return for that. Cindy Hamilton |

A statement that shows you haven't a clue about any woman's makeup. That 'no lipstick' you're seeing is a very neutral color. She's not sporting a completely natural, no lipstick, bare lips. The makeup gurus recommend if you are wearing strong eye makeup then you should opt for a very neutral lipstick. If you go with an eye-catching lipstick shade then your eye make up should be very toned down and almost appear as if you are not wearing any. |

Gary, I wear makeup, I read magazines, I watch videos, I keep up with makeup trends, I know many of their trick of the trade. You just see VERY toned down lips and eyes and cheeks and you automatically ASSume the woman is not wearing makeup/lipstick/blush. > LOL! Face it Joan, you've been completely brainwashed by the > "makeup gurus" and the cosmetic industry. They all just want > your money. I said the makeup gurus recommend certain do's and don't's, I did not say I follow their advice slavishly. But you are correct, all they want is a woman's money. > "eye-catching lipstick" ;) > Yeah, bright odd colors sure do catch my eye. Ummmmmmmm, oh bright one, that's why they wear those eye-catching shades. > Q: What's wrong with your own face? Do you really need > all that help? A LOT of women do. Some have a ruddy and uneven complexion. Some have dark circles. You'd be surprised to see a lot of the women you admire because they are 'makeup-free' actually make-up free. Here are two pictures, extreme examples for sure, of two women wearing makeup and *gasp* they both have on lipstick as well. https://i.postimg.cc/JnyRyzNG/Makeup-1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/25MPKFWS/Makeup-2.jpg |

Both of each are wearing lipstick, then the "before" pics, they have some white crap all over their face. WTH is that? Why not post pics of two women, before any makeup and then with makeup? Completely natural vs makeup. |

Are you any relation to John Kuthe? > Why not post pics of two women, before any makeup and > then with makeup? Completely natural vs makeup. I just did, dummy. Both of these women have a skin condition known as vitiligo. It's a devastating disease and it's a lack of pigment in the skin and affects both women and men no matter their race. These are pictures of examples of women with and without makeup showing why many women wear makeup. It's to even out the skin tone and correct conditions they wish they did not have. Vitiligo not only occurs on the face, it can be anywhere on the body. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/vitiligo/symptoms-causes/syc-20355912 Here's a picture of a pretty girl with a ruddy complexion. Without makeup she probably got tired of people asking if she was sunburned or was her blood pressure elevated? A bit of makeup smoothed out that problem and stopped people from staring and bombarding her with questions. https://i.postimg.cc/QML0RXmc/Ruddy-Complexion.jpg |

Once things return to more or less 'normal' will people pick up an extra pack of toilet every couple of weeks even if they don't need it right then? Will they think "I should have several extra pack just in case"?? |

Will they think "I should have several > extra pack just in case"?? I've thought the same, Joan. Most frequent items that I use, I'll often get another once I first open the last that I have. Never did that with toilet paper. I always buy a 24-pak of singles or a 12-pack of doubles. Lasts about 3 months. Last time I bought one was about 3 months ago and I now have one left (double roll). I have a very old 4-pack of some cheap brand that I bought long ago but have never used it. From now on, I buy it more often...if it EVER comes back again. |

I went down the toilet paper/paper towel aisle and they had a 12-pack of their house brand toilet paper. It's two-ply, even looked like Charmin and felt squishy and soft but package said 'compare to Angel Soft.' Even though I didn't need it, I thought why not? |

For the last few weeks, I've been shopping at 7 am, during the time reserved for senior citizens, anybody else at extreme risk from COVID-19, and first responders. It has been nice, although I wouldn't say it's much better than 5 pm. The old people are slow and disorganized and this particular store has fewer checkstands open at that time so the lines are actually longer. === What are checkstands? Those of us who work full time generally don't have the luxury of shopping early. When things get back to normal (whatever that ends up being) I'll go back to shopping at 5 pm.
