Did I say it was? Afraid to hear the truth? If you don't like them following the laws, change the laws. People should be aware of the facts though. When corporations pay more taxes, they pass than on to the cost of goods. When corporations pay employees more, they pass that on in the cost of goods sold. People feel good that they avoid taxes when businesses pay more but it is just a change in the distribution system of where the money comes from. They get their wish and bitch that a dozen eggs or loaf of bread costs more. Change the laws, change the law makers The list goes on. People that rent don't care about property tax because they think they don't pay them. But they bitch when the landlord raises the rent. Free shipping? Yeah, right. If you know where your money comes from and where it goes you can make a more informed decision at the ballot box as well as the store. You can call it defending the rich but I call it knowing the facts. It will make you more powerful in your own life. Knowledge is power. |

Its all proportionate And since the pot is not big enough many states have an income tax and lower incomes pay nothing. Sales tax? Sure but the state collects more from the guy buying a luxury car than a cheap clunker. Education is often covered in property tax and the homeowner of a nice house pays more than the family in Section 8 rentals. |

And if corporations then want to increase prices, they can sort that out with their competition. That's business as usual. Not letting corporations pay the taxes they should pay, just to make sure prices don't go up, isn't the solution. |

The tax laws are written with some purpose in mind. Not always clear, but they are not just random words. |

Many were written by lobbyists for various industries and voted by congresspeople looking for donations for re-election. A bit naive to think some loopholes are not intentional. Intentionally not clear. |

When you want change, just know what the result is going to be. More than one change is needed to be equitable. Fact is, our tax laws suck. |

I actually had to look up the phrase 'in vain' as I had only associated with one, and the wrong, meaning - "never take the lords/Jesus's name in vain....". I thought Ed might be might be implying I'm a heathen or infidel (which would be OK, too!) It turns out I was mislead and "in vain" really means something else. Which makes my actions NOT "in vain" - if not for John, then for myself! IOW, something good DID become of this and it wasn't in vain. Thanks Ed! :-) I still think that it was the right message to send at the risk of ruining my reputation as The Supreme Asshole On RFC. You should see the ones I've sent ot Old World Roofing! Heh.... I haven't yet told them about John with his Uzi on the roof. I haven't figured out how to spin that yet to John's advantage. But I'm trying at least! Anybody want to help? DUH.. You're using a pre-cooked and frozen pizza crust formulated specifically for typical home reheating. NOT making pizzas from scratch, uweing fresh risen 00 dough, which is what we're talking about here.
