And I cleaned and refilled my hummingbird feeder and saw THREE different hummingbirds! Two smallish and one a little larger.

Got my Vegetarian Breakfast of brown rice, homemade "baked" beans and some Garlic Potatoes with splash of red wine and Worcestershire, and a big fat mango for dessert. (Every meal should have as healthy dessert!:-))

Perfect in Ann Arbor, too. 50 F and not so humid. We'll see a
high of 71 and the humidity will bottom out at 34%, which is
quite dry for Michigan in June.

We cleaned the maple seeds out of the gutters and after a short
break for water I'll use the leaf blower (electric) to clean
them off the pavement and onto the lawn.

Three hours ago I ate my vegetarian breakfast of oatmeal with
raisins, butter, and brown sugar, washed down with a glass of milk.

When you say brown sugar, do you mean white sugar coloured brown with
molasses?

I feel so badly for my work's residents'. They get plain oatmeal many times in the morning, when "everyone knows" that plain oatmeal is just a culinary canvass for yummies like butter and brown sugar.

Whatever suits you, I'm just saying oatmeal is better with Yummies!

Again you mistake vegetarian for vegan.

I forgive you.

I'm not a Vegan, Ovolactovegetarian and I eat BBQ if offered because 1. I love BBQ and 2. It'r rude to turn down a Gift. :-)

Looks very nice, Ed. Compliments to your granddaughter!

And yes...a good dinner can turn into an excellent dinner
when accompanied with a good wine. ;)

All my wine jokes aside, I do add wine occasionally to some
of my sauces. Adds a nice taste to some dishes.

I like a little splash of Merlot in a red spaghetti sauce.

Also, whenever I debone chicken breasts, I'll save the bones
(still with a bit of meat on them). These I'll fry in a small
amount of oil and add lots of dry herbs and spices. No recipe
for this...I just go through my spice rack and add a pinch
of anything that might go well with chicken.

Once the chicken is cooked and removed, I'll deglaze the pan
with a bit of dry white wine and cook down for a few minutes.
This I pour over the chicken breast bones. Good eats.
Good to gnaw on.

What do you do with the rest of the bottle? Make spaghetti sauce until
you run out of wine?

Your granddaughter did very good, nice plating, and that sauce looks
tasty. Only thing I'd do differently is to slice the chicken breast
into three cutlets, thinner they'd saute faster and be more moist...
and lots more mozz.

Looks professionally presented, lots more attractive than most food
pictures I've seen here... actually looks more appetizing than what
most restaurants serve. That's one of my favorite pasta shapes,
excellent for holding sauce and great for a pasta salad too... looks
like Rotini, for cold salads I like the tri-color, looks more festive
against a white mayo based dressing. For an Italian meal the only
thing missing is something green, a parsely/basil sprig, already has
the red and white for the flag.

So? "Worldwide scrum". I can explain to you why "colored person"
is disparaged and that "person of color" has inexplicably replaced
it.

I don't care if you call them niggers. That's what my grandfather
called them.

LOL. That's a funny one. At least it's funny for those that
don't get offended so easily.

She went to France to learn french cooking. I would think that
her teachers would be the ones well known there as great chefs.

The French (as a whole) also absolutely loved Jerry Lewis
and all his movies where he acted as a spazzy retard.
Many made with Dean Martin (as the normal guy).
I never found those movies funny at all. Just stupid.

Then in his later years, he always did those annual
Telethons to raise money for some disease.
On those, he appeared as an old, tired worthless drunk.

For some reason, the French loved him. Oh well.
Who cares what the French think? ;)

Has it been that long ago already? I remember those and they
were awesome. Talking about the original Iron Chef in Japan with
subtitles.

Just blacks in my area except for the racists that still refer
to them as niggers. Usually low class whites that hate blacks
that accomplish more than they did.

In the perfect world, all will only be called man or woman.
No need to denote skin color unless you are describing a
suspect to police when you witnessed a crime.

Oh that's right....the police are all evil now. damn!

Yes, with often the same attractive Japanese woman in the jury.
Although my wife always said it was a different woman each time.

Julia Child was in Paris with her husband (forget his name, something
to do with the US Embassy) and decided to attend the Cordon Bleu and
learn to cook the French way because she loved the food.

Subsequently she got together with two French chefs and they put out a
couple of books.

As regards to her latter shows this side of the Pond, she combined
with Jaques Pépin to make an amusing series, before that she had done
a series with new people that then went on easily to make their name
mostly because she had featured them.

In no way should she be compared to Jerry Lewis.

Sounds good, Davers. Be sure to write that exact combo down
while it's still fresh in your memory.
