It was insanely sweet, like KoolAid with double the sugar. I added a bit of lemon juice until I got to something drinkable. Still not great but I never expected much from a $5 bottle. I buy bottles of moscato from ALDI for $2.49. "Sangria" too. https://www.aldi.us/en/products/alcohol/red-wine/detail/ps/p/winking-owl-sangria/ I like cheap wine and expensive beer. --Bryan |

No. I think it's because more people are going to this particular store to get the best prices, and we're still only supposed to go out for necessities so when people shop, they buy more than normal. I am boycotting Seattle except for the very Northern part as my BF lives there. Nothing bad in his area yet but there was stuff in the Northgate area recently and he is near there. |

This whole thing is beyond crazy. We, the non-protesters can get arrested for not wearing a mask. They are getting away with murder. It's sick and sad. Things had gotten better here until yesterday. Had to call about a drug deal again. This time, the guy dropped the drugs in the park, took off and another person picked them up. |

So, I just have to run around the track a couple of times more, I guess. If I was in downtown, Vancouver, Seattle or Portland like you, I'm sure the authorities wouldn't chase me down while running laps around the nearby high school track. Weird. Try picturing that. (I know what your response is: don't put it past them) I've been working out like mad. Last I checked, I was down 17 pounds. I do buy some candy and chips but I mostly buy healthy stuff. We were instructed to lay in a stock of food to get us by for two months. Got to eat that now. Tonight I used up the ricotta cheese in a pasta dish. The end result had the taste of lasagna but it was too rich for me and I could only eat a few bites. I also screwed up. Grabbed what I thought was a small can of tomato sauce and didn't realize the mistake until I opened it. It was carrots. Forgot that I found two little cans of carrots somewhere and bought them. So I ate them because the can was opened. For me, canned carrots are okay in a soup or casserole. But on their own? Not my favorite thing. |

I've been going to the Walmart Neighborhood Market as their prices are lower overall. Granted, I won't buy much of their meat even when in stock because I won't buy stuff with water or salt water or whatever, added. But... I was going to pick up a pot roast at QFC. Looked to be enough for 4-6 servings. Wasn't wearing my glasses so couldn't read the weight. They wanted $50 for it! And the price of chicken is much higher. Also in almost every store I go to, about 1/3 of the meat counter is fake meat. I have not noticed this at Walmart. Come to think of it, I haven't noticed any fake meat in the meat dept. They might have it elsewhere though. My friend dined out at a fancy restaurant the other day. They had a limited menu as most places that are open here now do. She ordered the meatballs. It wasn't pasta and meatballs. Just meatballs drizzled with sauce. Weird. She loved them and asked what kind of meat they were made of. It was fake meat. How can they call them meatballs? I've seen recipes for "Wheatballs" made of seitan or similar. Hmmm... |

Neither are beans for breakfast in most of the USA, but Steve is in Texas. A more typical full American breakfast is just eggs, fried potatoes, buttered toast, bacon or breakfast sausage, and a glass of orange or grapefruit juice. --Bryan |

It's real Hawaiian salt i.e., sea water that's been dried and harvested from a family salt pond. My granddaughter loves the stuff. She likes to eat the flakes. Perhaps she has a sodium deficiency. Luckily, salt doesn't do a number on my blood pressure. I could eat salt by itself too, and did when I was younger. Your post inspired me to boil up a little broken jasmine rice as an excuse to have some tamari. I put some I&G in the water for boiling the rice. http://store.theingredientstore.com/disodiuminosinateanddisodiumguanylatepowder16oz.aspx Lots of tamari, and a little cayenne. --Bryan |
