In the past I had a sideline business, I've capped hundreds of windows.
Done right they look as good as the original wood. Done by a hack
they look like crap. Too many would take shortcuts.

Sure, but I'm going to wait till you get through sniffing. Don't
want to ruin your delicacy.

I was going to say that too. The recipes are often extremely similar.

tuna is more like the eagle of the sea. the older it
gets the more contaminated it gets like any other apex
predator. sardines are much better for you in terms of
nutrition and lack of contaminants.

certainly for the price too, i'd much rather eat
sardines than tuna unless we're talking sashimi.

i've never noticed it at all. the canning/cooking
process just turns it all to mush and after what
my stomach and digestive system do to it you wouldn't
like that either.

i'm amazed at how squeamish some people are and then
you ask them if they eat commercially canned products
or things like the various fermented fish sauces or
the like...

note, i don't care to read or smell the details when
they're just making them, but the results can be
pretty tasty. like a good cheese... :)

When we pan fry salmon, which is often, the skin is the best bit, IMO.

that doesn't bother me for some reason. i think it
is because it isn't as noticeable a flavor or texture
to me as compared to the salmon skin.

You apparently purposely obfuscating what you hear to make more
drama in your own widdle head.

I can't believe you gave her money after so many of us told you it
was a scam. And even posted proof that the Post Offices maintain
and pay for those things for their own benefit - it help speed up
mail delivery - they save more than enough fuel and time that they
easily pay for themselves.

I'm glad you moved too. I understand. Not everybody can afford to
live in Austin. And on Waterfront property.

i actually agree with you. it is so rare i
thought i'd just say it.

the way Mom cuts/cores apples is such a waste
as when she's done i can usually eat eight to ten
bites off what she's going to feed to the worms.

when i do it the worms are upset because they
get so little.

some people don't even eat the skins, to me
that's about the whole reason to eat an apple
to begin with.

same here.

i dislike multicolored/multiflavored marshmallows in
general for the same reason i didn't like rolls of
life savers candies.

as far as church lady desserts, pistachio pudding
with pineapple and coconut is fine with me, add some
extra pistachios and toast some of the coconut and
it's even better.

not that i eat it more than once every year or two
but it is ok compared to some of the things i've
eaten.

i'm not a big fan of apple pie, but apple crisps
or cobblers are ok. i like simple baked apples or
apple sauce much more. good dried apples are great
too. if you can find your own wild apple trees to
get apples from the drying process will sweeten them
up a bit so it is ok if they are bit tart and i
really like tart apples anyways so the dried ones
are really nice. alas, my dried apple connection
is gone now and i don't have time, space or
inclination to do it here so i just have to be happy
with the memories of scouting for apples and helping
to cut them up and put them on the racks.

apricots or peaches and green curries work very well
together IMO. also making peach or apricot jam and
adding some crushed red pepper and a bit of vinegar
can turn it into some most excellent nummyness.

I agree. Just crumble bacon on a lettuce and halved cherry tomato salad. You don't even need a lot of bacon, just a lot of tomatoes. You don't really even need the bacon if you whip up a dressing with lemon juice, good oil, a raw egg yolk and some Asiago (or Parmesan), with a little black pepper, anchovy paste and salt.

Whether or not one needs the minerals for health, purified water is less aesthetically appealing. IMO, the best tasting water comes from deep wells in the Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks. When we go camping, we bring empty jugs to fill up at the state park for drinking. https://mostateparks.com/park/echo-bluff-state-park
