There's two basketball stars named Van Arsedale. And a lawyer by
the same name. Are you related?

I wonder if they partake in your hobby too.

Yes, during his heyday. He was in a Bond movie, for instance.

I see no reason why one can't eat both meat and vegetables, I do at
most every meal... sometimes together, sometimes seperately. In my
experience anyone who claims they're a strict vegetarian is a LIAR! No
vegetables contain all the necessary amino acids to support human
life.

Where we lived on Lung Guyland our next door neighbors were
Vietnamese. They claimed to be vegetarian. They were always admiring
our garden but they didn't have one. They loved our concord grape
vine and I'd give them plenty. One day we spotted their car about 2-3
miles away in a big supermarket parking lot and there they were with
their two kids all eating packages of Oscar Meyer bologna... to my
knowledge Oscar Meyer doesn't make Tofu Bologna.

Lol, uninformed, uneducated, dumb man.

Some recipes call for marshmallow cream mixed with mayo for the
dressing. If it contains pineapple chunks and coconut it'd be Ukelele
Salad. Waldorf is one salad I don't like. I do like Jello with
shredded lettuce.

I slice an apple into quarters through the core and then pare out the
core from each quarter, it's fast, does a neat job with less waste.
And then it's easy to slice into eighths or smaller. I'ts much easier
to clean and store a paring knife than those thingies.

I use fresh ground white pepper in cole slaw.

I find regular crackers, like Ritz, are as salty and greasy as potato
chips... I break off squares of matzo for crackers.

Apple pie with a bit of vanilla ice cream is good.
And, believe it or not...also good with a bit of
freshly shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese.

In Yorkshire when I was a child, we often had apple pie with cheese:))

I went to a grocery store in Niagara Falls that has a wide range of
ethnic foods. I wanted to get samosas and some flat breads. They had a
great price on dried apricots, and they were right near the cilantro and
ginger, so I got the ingredients I needed to make apricot and cilantro
chutney. I had not made it for a few years. It was nice to taste the
finished product and find it tasted even better than I had remembered.

Now I want onion chutney and pappadum. And perhaps mint or cilantro
chutney as well.

John this thread is truly fascinating(not really) but I was wondering
are you going to eventually tell us that your copper roof is actually
a frying pan that you use to cook you eggs or something? this is
r.f.COOKING ya know.

You should pour a sidewalk from theirs up to your deck. Then you'd
only be 1 minute from UMSL. And lots of visitors would stop by the
rainbow ranch.

That sounds like American chips which are called 'Crisps' in the UK.
